Cooking Witch Review

Cooking Witch was developed by VaragtP and was released on May 18th, 2017 for $1.99 on steam. It is available on PC.

Cooking Witch is an arcade styled game in which you play as a witch picking up screaming children and throwing them in a cauldron in order to cook them to give you meat (which is used to purchase upgrades) and stars which grant extra time. You will continually pick up children and throw them into a pot until either your time runs out which is usually around 60 seconds without picking up stars or until you lose health due to being shot out of the sky.

Cooking Witch for me got boring real quick it only has 2 songs one in the title screen and one in the actual game. You will continually hear the second one is on an endless repeat and it gets old real quick. You control the movement via a mouse cursor which in my opinion works really well. The main negatives for me is after you complete one round you’ve seen what the entire game has to offer which is picking up children and throwing them in a cauldron until you pick up enough meat to purchase an upgrade to do it all over again. The main positives for me are the colors and effects are absolutely gorgeous and the movement feels amazing. Overall I’d rate this as playable.
